Brazilian Top Team middleweight Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares has signed to fight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship according to a report by GracieMag.com.

The news comes at the same time that MMAWeekly.com confirmed with David Bielkheden, another BTT fighter, that he has signed with the UFC to face Diego Sanchez on March 1 at UFC 82.

Palhares is a top middleweight fighter out of Brazil. He holds a 7-1 professional record and has been a staple of the Brazilian fight scene.

“He signed (on Thursday) a contract for four fights in the under 84kg (185 pounds) category. His debut date has not yet been set, but next week we should have some news in that regard,” said Murilo Bustamante, one of BTT’s leaders, to GracieMag.com.
