Announced tonight at UFC 71, the UFC have added Pride Welterweight and Middleweight Champion Dan Henderson to their roster. “Hollywood” Henderson will challenge the winner between Chuck Liddell and Quinton Jackson for the UFC Light Heavyweight belt.

Last February, Henderson dethroned Wanderlei Silva and became the first fighter to hold two titles in the organization’s history. The Team Quest fighter makes his return to the octagon since defeating Allan Goes and Carlos Newton en route to winning the tournament back at UFC 17.

It was speculated that Chute Boxe fighters Wanderlei Silva or Mauricio “Shogun” Rua would make an appearance tonight. MMAWeekly’s Ivan Canello has confirmed that both of the fighters are still in their hometown of Curitiba, Brazil this evening.
