- RAMPAGE OFFICIALLY HEADED BACK TO THE UFC

MEMPHIS – The war between UFC president Dana White and former light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has come to a “cease fire.” The two had a long conversation last weekend that will lead the Memphis native back to the Octagon in just a few short months.

White discussed their peace talks following the UFC 107 pre-fight press conference.

"Me and Rampage had a unpleasant 45-minute conversation right before the (Ultimate Fighter) finale. He'll be back," White said.

When asked if Rampage would return in the next few months and against Rashad Evans, assuming Evans gets past Thiago Silva at UFC 108, White simply answered, “yes and yes.”

The friction between White and Jackson started months ago when the former 205-pound divisional champion opted for a movie role instead of taking a scheduled fight against Evans, originally slated for this weekend's UFC 107 main event. The two have been mired in a war of words since, but seem to have reached common ground.

"We started fighting on text that day," White said about his conversation with Rampage. "He sent me a really bad text and I sent him a really bad text back, and then he sent me a text that said, 'call me, I can't spell good enough to fight over text,' and then that's how it started."

With Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva set to do battle on Jan. 2, seeing Rampage return by April or May would seem like perfect timing to finally settle the score between the two "Ultimate Fighter" coaches.
