Pat “The Croation Sensation” Miletich – now 40-years-old with nearly as many professional bouts to his credit – steps back into action tonight against Thomas “Wildman” Denny at Adrenaline MMA’s sophomore effort in Moline, Ill. at the iwireless Center.
When your reach that incriminating age, lost five of your eight most recent bouts, and haven’t competed in more than two years, everyone starts to say, “What the heck are you thinking?”
Miletich’s last fight being a submission loss to Renzo Gracie is probably “what the heck” he’s thinking.
Longtime friend and Adrenaline promoter Monte Cox concurred, telling MMAInsider, “I just think that he doesn’t want to end his career on the way his last fight went. He’s in the best shape I’ve seen him in a long, long time. I think he’s really going to surprise some people.”
If yesterday’s weigh-ins are any indiciation, Miletich will definitely be ready. Just take one look at the photo of him and Denny and you’d have to agree, Miletich don’t look half-bad for a 40-year-old man.
