Just 24 hours after being officially added to the UFC on FX 1 fight card, UFC bantamweight Ken Stone has been forced out of the show.
UFC officials on Monday announced that Stone would meet Mike Easton at the Jan. 20 event in Nashville, but the injury bug has struck once again, knocking Stone off the card.
Rated as one of the top bantamweight prospects in the sport, Easton finally got his shot at the big time when he debuted at UFC on Versus 6 last October. The longtime training partner of UFC champion Dominick Cruz finished Byron Bloodworth while fighting in his hometown of Washington D.C.
He’ll likely still hit the road to Nashville for his second trip to the Octagon, but will receive a new opponent just over two weeks out from the event.
A lightweight showdown between Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller heads the UFC on FX 1 fight card.
